Panels do not get dirty evenly. The problem is almost always in the bottom few centimetres, where rainwater carrying dirt sits along the edge and over time leaves a dark stripe. That stripe shades the bottom row of cells, and because cells are wired in series, that row drags the output of the whole panel down. Which is exactly why a lightly soiled panel can cost more than it looks like it should.
We clean with reverse-osmosis water and a soft brush on a telescopic pole, from the ground or from a scaffold. No detergent — that leaves a film for dust to cling to. No high pressure, because it can attack the panel’s edge seal and put your manufacturer warranty at risk.
Once a year is enough for most roofs in the Utrecht region. If your house sits under trees, on a country road or next to farmland, twice a year is more realistic. We will tell you honestly if we think one visit is plenty.

Does cleaning really increase output?
On lightly dusted panels the difference is small. Where it does add up is a caked bottom edge, moss growth or bird droppings: those shade part of the cells and drag the whole panel down. We do not promise a fixed percentage — anyone who does is making it up. What we do is point you at your own inverter app so you can compare before and after yourself.
Does cleaning void my warranty?
Not with the method we use. Manufacturers almost always exclude high pressure, aggressive chemicals and abrasive materials — and those are exactly the things we do not use. If your supplier asks, we will put our method in writing.
Do you walk on my roof?
No, and that is deliberate. Walking a tiled roof breaks tiles, and you must never stand on a panel itself. We work from the ground with a telescopic pole, or from a scaffold when the roof is too tall or too steep.
