Our service area around Utrecht

We drive a fixed round through the province of Utrecht. If your town is listed below, we pass through weekly and you pay no call-out charge. If it is not, do ask — just outside the list is often still possible.

  • Amersfoort

Amersfoort is a city of extremes: a medieval centre with small glazing bars and out-of-square frames, and Vathorst and Nieuwland with modern homes where the glazing runs two storeys high.

    3800 – 3829

  • Bunnik

Bunnik, Odijk and Werkhoven are villages: mostly detached and semi-detached homes on generous plots, with farmsteads and country houses along the Kromme Rijn beyond them.

    3980 – 3999

  • De Bilt & Bilthoven

Bilthoven is full of detached thirties and fifties houses on generous, wooded plots, with timber frames and a lot of north-facing wall.

    3720 – 3733

  • Houten

Houten is mostly generous family homes from the eighties and nineties, with a large south-facing window and a garden almost always reachable through a back gate.

    3990 – 3999

  • IJsselstein

IJsselstein has a compact historic core of narrow houses along the Hollandsche IJssel, ringed by roomier post-war and nineties districts such as Zenderpark.

    3400 – 3409

  • Maarssen & Stichtse Vecht

Along the Vecht there are listed country houses and townhouses with historic glass; Maarssenbroek, by contrast, is large uniform seventies estates with a lot of identical glazing.

    3600 – 3612

  • Nieuwegein

Nieuwegein was largely built between 1970 and 1990: a lot of terraced housing with big glazed rear elevations and uPVC frames now well into their second life.

    3430 – 3439

  • Utrecht

From canal houses with leaded lights in the old centre to new-build with floor-to-ceiling glazing in Leidsche Rijn — in Utrecht we meet every build year, often on the same street.

    3500 – 3585

  • Veenendaal

Veenendaal grew fast in the nineties and is still growing: whole streets of new-build with tall glazing in Veenendaal-Oost, while Franse Gat and Dragonder are compact sixties and seventies housing.

    3900 – 3909

  • Woerden

Woerden runs from a historic centre around the castle to spacious new-build in Snel en Polanen, ringed by the villages of Harmelen, Kamerik and Zegveld with their detached houses and farmsteads.

    3440 – 3449

  • Zeist

Zeist has a lot of detached homes and 1930s villas with timber frames, glazing bars and sometimes leaded lights — work a brush is too coarse for, which has to be done with squeegee and scrim.

    3700 – 3709
